Job Title: Registered Nurse – Inpatient Pediatrics (Day Shift) Location: Syracuse, NY Contract Type: Travel or Local Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 3 days/week (36 hrs total), includes alternating weekends and select holidays Pay: $2,346/week (Travel) | $2,042/week (Local) Job Description: We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for our Inpatient Pediatric Surgical Unit located in a leading healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY. This is a day shift position requiring dedication, adaptability, and a passion for pediatric patient care in an acute setting. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric surgical patients Perform accurate nursing assessments and interventions Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams Maintain comprehensive documentation using EPIC EMR Ensure patient safety and uphold infection control standards Respond to emergencies and perform duties with minimal supervision Qualifications: ~ Active New York State RN License – required ~ BLS Certification – required (must be current or eligible for recertification) ~ Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience in an acute care facility of comparable size or higher ~2+ years of pediatric inpatient experience – required ~ Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center – highly preferred ~ EPIC EMR experience – highly preferred ~ Strong interpersonal and communication skills ~ Must pass drug screening, background check, and pre-employment health clearance ~ No prior license suspensions, investigations, or malpractice claims
