Job Summary: This Registered Nurse position in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to provide critical care to patients. The role involves direct patient care, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and adherence to established protocols and procedures within a fast-paced environment. Location: Newark, New York, United States, Responsibilities: - Providing skilled nursing care to critically ill patients. - Performing patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning. - Collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals. - Monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing intravenous fluids. - Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records. - Responding to patient needs and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner. - Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning. - Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures. Required Skills & Certifications: - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field. - Minimum of two years of experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care (ICU experience preferred). - Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Preferred Skills & Certifications: - Experience in critical care settings (ICU). - Advanced certifications (e.g., CCRN). - Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and PICC lines. Special Considerations: - This is a 3x12-hour day shift position. - The position requires working in a fast-paced, high-pressure ICU environment. Scheduling: - 3 twelve-hour day shifts. - Start date: Early August. - Specific shift times will be determined upon hire.
