Job Description

We are looking for an On-Call Receptionist to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a Receptionist, you will be our residential community's first point of contact. Duties include offering administrative support across the organization and welcoming guests, residents, and their families. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be successful in this role, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies promptly and effectively while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.

$12.75 per hour

Time and a half for all hours worked on company-recognized holidays

Shift Details:

Saturday and Sunday: 3pm - 11pm

Opportunity to pick-up open shifts, if desired

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests, residents, and their families upon arrival
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email
  • Maintain security of community and infection protocol by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, health screenings for all employees and visitors, etc.)

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
