Position: Quality Assurance Engineer III (multiple positions available)
Location: New York, NY
Multiple Positions Available:
1. Create appropriate quality plans, define test strategies, and drive test execution processes;
2. Execute functional, regression, performance, and accessibility testing;
3. 3. Develop and maintain testing strategies, including manual and automation testing;
4. Develop scripts and automated test cases, increasing efficiency;
5. Gather and report relevant and actionable quality metrics;
6. Participate in design and specification reviews, as well as use this information to design test plans;
7. Promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices;
8. Ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product and engineering teams to prioritize testing execution and report on test execution progress and results;
9. Advise project management and development teams on technical issues related to planning, developing, implementing, and modifying testing procedures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered, or Programmer/Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Test Developer related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field followed by five progressively responsible years of experience in the job offered, or Programmer/Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Test Developer related occupation. as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience.
Must have 1 year of experience in the following skill(s):
1. Collaborating with development teams, product managers and technical managers on day-to-day basis to deliver complex features to customers with high quality.
2. Testing large-scale software systems, including test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution.
3. Developing test plans and test cases independently for largescale software systems using Java or Shell Scripts in a Windows, UNIX, or Linux environment;
4. Coding/scripting experience using languages such as Java or C#
5. Web and mobile application user interface automation testing tools such as Selenium/Appium to automate test cases
6. Test case documentation tools such as Testrail and defect tracking tools such as JIRA
7. Versioning tools: GIT, SVN.
The base pay range for this position in New York City is USD $150,280 - $198,400 (hr/yr). Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
