Job Title: Property Accountant

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid Schedule, Work-From-Home on Fridays)

Target Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 + 10% Bonus Potential + Competitive Benefits

We are partnering with a dynamic and growing property management firm that specializes in variety of assets such as commercial, office, industrial, and residential. This position will play a crucial role in the financial operations of their portfolio. This will include maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reporting packages, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for commercial, residential, office, and industrial properties.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Monitor and analyze property budgets, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and tenant rent collections.
• Assist with property tax calculations and ensure timely payment of property taxes.
• Coordinate with property managers and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and assist with annual audits and tax filings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records and documentation.
• Implement and adhere to accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of property accounting experience, with a focus on commercial, residential, office, and industrial properties.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
