PPH currently offers our clients a wide range of data services including transcription, translation, linguistic analysis, rating, systems testing, localization, field and studio recording, language skill verification, and sensitive and diversity-focused data handling, with additional services being added continuously.

 

JOB SUMMARY

Productive Playhouse is a leader in transcription services, providing responsive attention and accuracy to support clients' needs. As the Urdu Quality Control Reviewer ,   you are responsible for reviewing the work completed on-site and remotely to ensure it meets the quality standards set forth by the client. Your reliability and attention to detail plays a key role in ensuring our team's quality and compliance.

This position is project-based and part-time (8-12 hours per week). The nature of the role is ongoing and project-based. The workload is dependent on project needs.

 

RESPONSBILITIES:

• Review completed work, citing all issues as they pertain to the quality of the work
• Create and report daily quality logs to  On-site Team Auditor / OPS Auditing manager
• Maintain clear understanding of the clients guidelines and quality expectations
• Direct project related questions to  On-site Team Auditor / OPS Auditing manager
• Report violations of security clean room policies, reporting violations to  On-site Team Auditor / OPS Auditing manager
• Suggest opportunities for improvements to  On-site Team Auditor / OPS Auditing manager

 

SKILLS: 

• Expert in hired language
• Thoughtful communication among all levels, offering clear and timely feedback
• Maintain continuous knowledge of client and industry clean room standards
• Ability to identify patterns of commonality and concerns
• Navigate situations effectively with professionalism and ease
• Precise attention to detail in all aspects of work
• Proficient on PC and Google Suite

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• US work authorization (the company cannot provide sponsorship)
• Able to commute to our office 
• 18+ years of age
• Expert in Urdu (you will be asked to take a language assessment)
• Ability to understand a wide variety of Urdu-speaking accents and dialects
• Must have previous professional experience working in the specified language
• Fully vaccinated against COVID, or the ability to provide medical or religious documentation for exemption
• Strongly preferred:  formal education at the secondary level in the specified language
• Preferred:  formal education at the post-secondary level in the specified language
• Preferred:  Masters or Ph.D. studies in Linguistics, Translation Studies, or in the specified language
