Project Accountant - Commercial Construction

Position Overview
The Project Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and GAAP. They will work closely with project managers to analyze costs and develop budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and accounting principles
• Assist project managers with cost analysis and forecasting
• Prepare and review construction billings and change orders
• Track expenses and review invoices for accuracy
• Communicate financial information to project teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of experience in construction accounting
• Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with cost analysis and forecasting in the construction industry
