Rover Oaks Pet Resort is the premier pet resort for boarding, training, grooming, and daycare in Houston and Katy. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented individual with a passion for dog hair to fill the position of Professional Dog Groomer & Stylist at our Houston location near NRG stadium.
Groomers receive 50% commission plus tips. Our grooming prices are on the upper end of the market.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Providing pet quality and breed standard cuts to client specifications
* Providing professional bathing and spa services
* Greeting and engaging with clients in person and on the phone to discuss grooming needs and preferences
* Making and updating appointments
* Promoting grooming services to current and potential clients
* Following all pet health and safety protocols
QUALIFICATIONS:
* A minimum of 2 years experience as a professional groomer and pet stylist is preferred
* Knowledge of common breed standard cuts
* Hand scissoring techniques
* Must be physically able to handle and secure large and small dogs
* Successful candidates must have strong customer service and communication skills
