Job Details

• Salary Range: $85k - $95k. Depending on knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Rotating shifts every three weeks.
• Must be able to work weekends, overtime and holidays.
• Benefits: 401(k)/matching contributions, shift differential for off-shifts, vacation and insurance (medical, dental, vision, life and disability), annual bonus plan.

Position overview

As a Production Supervisor, you will coordinate duties of approximately 10-15 production operators. These duties include improving safety, reducing costs, improving quality, maximizing the department's effectiveness through long term planning and project implementation, providing appropriate training and development, ensuring consistent roll out of plant policies & procedures, and maintaining open communications and positive employee relations. In this role, you will also drive continuous improvement and promote employee relation activities within your team. Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, counsel and mentor team, up to 15 employees.
• Maintain a high level of safety standards, at all times.
• Organize and monitor all production activities within your area of focus.
• Implement manufacturing schedules and procedures, work with your team to maximize productivity.
• Analyze production records to identify problems and recommend solutions.
• Optimize production workflows, minimize disruption to manufacturing schedules.
• Minimize manufacturing cost, decrease waste output, keep high quality standards.
• Ensure a safe way of running the production lines and organize regular safety inspections.

Required skills and experience

• Familiar with key unit operations of chemical manufacturing, ideally in a leadership position.
• 5+ years working in a chemical manufacturing facility, preferred.
• 2+ years in a supervisor role, preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or a GED.
• SAP experience, preferred.
