Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Production Scheduler for a long-term role with a plastics manufacturer located in Tigard, OR. The Production Scheduler is responsible for executing the Master Production Scheduler’s (MPS) schedule.
PAY: $28-$31/hr
Production Scheduler Responsibilities:
• Execute MPS production schedule
• Week 1 to 2 – Assess work centers capacity, labor & machines, routings, setup times, run standards, and move times.
• Schedule work orders to work centers
• Monitor work in process (WIP)
• Communicate overtime labor needs from department leads to MPS and Planners
• Execute rework and scrap implications communicated from Leads, Managers, or MFEs
• Study work flow and sequence of operations in the department and recommend process improvements
• Prepare reports on key metrics
• Other duties as requested
Production Scheduler Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline, will consider candidates with additional years of experience in place of having a degree
• Two to three years or equivalent working in a manufacturing, industrial machining or fabrication assembly environment working with metal or plastic developing manufacturing instructions and routings, preparing process instructions and supporting production. Like experience or equivalent experience may be looked at.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process technology in materials, liquid plumbing parts, control devices and mechanisms preferred.
• ISO manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles in a low volume manufacturing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels and disciplines.
• Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs.
