Process Technician - Plastic Injection Molding - Base Salary to 85k/year - Piscataway, NJ

• Our client, a well-established family-owned Plastic Mold Injection company, is currently seeking a Process Technician (internally titled Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician) for their Piscataway, NJ location.
• Reporting to the Production Manager, the Process Technician will start machines, optimize processes, troubleshoot part issues, minimize scrap, waste, and downtime while ensuring that jobs are started quickly and efficiently. This is an onsite first shift position, 7:45am - 5pm.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize the process for new molds
• Start existing molds in accordance with pre-determined process
• Troubleshoot processes producing out-of-spec components
• Document and update new processes and procedures
• Verify the correct set up of injection molding machine
• Understand and effectively use IQMS system
• Work with production manager to propose and execute cost reduction strategies
• Communicate with QC director and QC inspectors to correct processes that produce non-conforming parts
• Reduce waste, improve quality, decrease downtime
• Support quality objectives & safety initiatives

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in plastic injection molding
• Comprehensive knowledge of the resin used in injection molding
• Working knowledge of injection molding and tool design
• Bilingual English/ Spanish a plus!
• Understanding of manufacturing costs and profit analysis
• Experience with various sizes and types of molding machines
• Basic knowledge of ERP software (IQMS a plus!)

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 60k - 85k/year range (flexible dependent on experience)
