We are a private investment organization based in metropolitan Kansas City that focuses on forming partnerships that help great companies flourish. Our considerable knowledge, partner-first philosophy, and results-driven approach are essential to how we assist firms in growing. We invest in platform firms across a wide variety of industries. Our initial equity investments vary from $20 to $75 million, with a plan to utilize that money as the firm expands. We are seeking a Private Equity Associate to join our team.In order to be considered for this role please fill out the skills and screening questions.
Job duties include (but may not be limited to):
- Support senior leadership team with M&A and due diligence for portfolio companies
- Analyze, forecast, and monitor performance of ventures
- Produce financial models as needed
- Compose PowerPoint presentations and lead presentations as needed
- Manage capital calls, distributions, allocation of expenses and investor reports
- Contribute to portfolio valuations as needed
- Implement new processes and systems to streamline workflow efficiency
- Serve as liasion for internal and external parties
- Provide insight to company decision makers
- Complete ad hoc projects
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a GPA of 3.4 or higher
- 2+ years post-college experience in investment banking or private equity
- Experience M&A and due diligence a plus
- Experience with financial modeling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Excellent work ethic with a team-player mentality
- Desire for long-term growth
- Candidate must live in or have ties to and be willing to relocate to the Kansas City, MO area
