Job Description

Eurofins PSS is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Potency Assay development team. The Primary role of this person is to work, under moderate supervision, in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment to provide lab support to a team of Research Associates and Scientists in the Potency Assay department. The successful candidate will independently develop routine equipment maintenance schedules, and will maintain responsibility for laboratory supply ordering and organization, reagent preparation and maintaining the analytical equipment and supplies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Function independently as well as actively participate in team responsibilities
• Maintain laboratory equipment, and analytical instruments, including coordination and communication with laboratory staff, external vendors, and the Global Work Experience Department
• Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked laboratory
• Responsible for execution and/or coordination of basic reagent preparation and sub-aliquoting of bulk materials
• Assess and propose ways to increase ordering/inventory/laboratory efficiency
• General lab cleanup of common areas
• Organize and maintain spare parts and tools
• Lab supplies ordering for non-routine items
• Lab escort for vendor and client personnel
• Point person for EHS and Lab Safety interactions, coordinating lab compliance activities
• Present data at group meetings

Qualifications

Basic Minimum

Qualifications

• BS in Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, or related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience working in or managing a laboratory environment
• Must have hands-on experience with cell-based assays, potency assays, or cytotoxicity assays from within a pharmaceutical industry setting
• Must have experience with aseptic technique and muli-channel pipetting
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking

Preferred

Qualifications

• Industry experience with cell culture
• Strong written and verbal communication with a strong attention to detail
• Able to take direction and then manage semi-routine tasks independently
