American Healthcare Resources is currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in the Birmingham area. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. NO TRAVEL

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Draws and collects blood from patient or donors.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients. 
• Interviews patients and takes vital signs of patients. as needed.
• Identifies patients and properly labels specimen tubes with patients' identifiers.
• Charts daily reports as required.
• Assists in training new employees and students in the department.
• Cleans and maintains equipment for the department on a daily basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned
