Job Description

We are a new and innovative health club in need of personal trainers to assist our clients in reaching their fitness objectives. You'll be working with clients to assess their fitness levels, develop customized training routines, and ensure they're using equipment safely. We leverage technology to make you shine as a trainer. This position requires excellent customer service skills as well as a passion for fitness and assisting others with their health and wellness. Responsibilities  

• Create personalized workout routines to help clients accomplish their fitness objectives while remaining within their present physical capability 
• Ensure all workout programs are appropriate for each client by doing individualized fitness evaluations 
• Maintain all gym standards and safety requirements to ensure that clients are safe and comfortable while working out 
• Track and adjust client progress and make changes to fitness plans accordingly 
• Decrease the chance of injury by teaching clients appropriate techniques for all exercises, especially for specialized equipment
• Provide clients with ongoing oversight, motivational support and encouragement 
• Sell additional gym programs to members and work with membership coordinators to assess a member's history 
• Support the Front desk and floor when not training clients 
• Attend monthly staff meetings, or as required 
• Assist with maintenance of facility 

Qualifications  

• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and coworkers 
• Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality 
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills 
• Current CPR/AED certification 
• Minimum of 6 months personal training experience 
• Current nationally recognized personal training certification: NASM, ACE, AFAA, or ACSM, CFSC, NSCA
