Fantastic NICU Per Diem Opportunities for Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner

We seek an experienced per diem Pediatric PA or NP to join a group of seasoned PA's with Alliance Medical Group at Waterbury Hospital working in the Special Care Nursery and Newborn Nursery. Coverage is 24/7, 365 days per year. Primary responsibilities will be:

• Attending high risk deliveries
• Admitting infants to SCN nursery and participating in management of them through daily rounds, procedures.
• Coverage of well babies in Well Baby Nursery for admissions and daily notes
• Attendance at Pediatric Codes and traumas in the ED

Our nursery is managed by neonatology attendings from the Yale Medical Group who are stationed at Waterbury Hospital.

A candidate should be comfortable with the following procedures:

• Intubation
• Umbilical artery and vein catheterization
• IV placement
• Lumbar punctures
• Urinary catheterization
