McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Packaging Lead Trainer position, to work a 12-hour night shift at the Burley, Idaho plant. The Lead Trainer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our manufacturing packaging personnel. This position requires a deep understanding of packaging processes, machinery, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for education, and the ability to create engaging and effective training modules.


Accountabilities:

  • Ensures the competency of packaging employees by training under minimal supervision
  • Understand the concepts and participate in the techniques of the quality process.
  • Participates in factory clean-ups as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and hours as assigned by supervision
  • Establish training aids (troubleshooting tools) and track progress to ensure consistency and commitment.
  • Promote job safety and train necessary packaging employees in LOTO.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high degree of mental skill and a considerable degree of initiative and independence.
  • Prefer a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Packaging Technology, Education) or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing packaging, with a strong understanding of packaging processes and machinery.
  • Previous experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Requires considerable care to avoid major product and equipment damage along with major injury to self and others.
  • Flexibility to work on shift with new employees during their training times

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of the operation .
