JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
− Develop, implement, and manage packaging consolidation and cost savings projects
− Design and verify cost-optimized packaging configurations based on ergonomic, production, customer, and transportation requirements, and conduct packaging testing as required
− Coordinate minimum packaging requirements with Purchasing and external vendors, selecting material specifications that focus on cost competitiveness
− Create and maintain packaging material specifications to cover all packaging commodities, and serve as the point of contact for technical packaging information
− Lead and promote digitalization and automation opportunities within Packaging and Master Data
− Gather relevant information from Product and Process Engineers for Production Bill of Materials (PBOM) and create them in SAP
− Oversee the creation of visual packaging documents for all product types
− Maintain documentation within MANN+HUMMEL Product Data Management Software (CimDB) and WIX Engineering database
− Support engineering workflows for new part introduction and initiate and process technical changes as assigned
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
− Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related field
− Recent graduates with co-op experience in packaging development in manufacturing and logistics areas will be considered
Experience Requirements
− Demonstrated ability in extracting, analyzing and manipulating data within Excel files using advance lookup functions
− Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and other Windows applications
Preferred Skills
− Ownership and initiative to support department and company through a pro-active and positive attitude
− Experience in packaging-related software
− Experience with SAP and CAD programs
