We are a dentist recruiting company helping a very well known and renowned implant center, hire an oral surgeon. Their current surgeon is moving to another part of the country and leaving on great terms.
They have a busy patient base providing the right surgeon an excellent income. They have an amazing staff and all state of the art equipment. They would like to hire a full time surgeon but would absolutely consider a part time one as well.
The surgeon would work out of 1 office with a very skilled prosthodontist. The office focuses on a lot of arch implants, but there is the opportunity of doing a wide range of oral surgery procedures as well. The office has hundreds of online reviews averaging 4.9 stars! They pride themselves on providing the highest quality care for their patients, which many travel a long way to see them.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Oral Surgeon performs surgery and other related procedures on the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions to treat diseases, injuries, or defects. May diagnose problems of the oral and maxillofacial regions. May perform surgery to improve function and/ or appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Educating patients on oral healthcare
· Examining teeth and diagnosing oral diseases using tools such as z-rays.
· Promoting oral health and disease prevention.
· Creating treatment plans to maintain or restore the oral health of patients.
· Interpreting x-rays and diagnostic tests.
· Ensuring the safe administration of anesthetics.
· Monitoring growth and development of teeth and jaw.
· Performing surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
· Carrying out agreed clinical treatments such as restoration of teeth affected by disease or decay.
· Focus on full arch implants with some wisdom teeth extractions and other oral surgery procedures. Depending on experience and which procedures the surgeon enjoys doing.
· Maintaining patients' dental records.
· Keeping abreast of new developments through structured continuing professional development (CPD).
Requirements:
· DDS/DMD from accredited university
· Completion of Oral Surgery residency or in the process of completing
· The ability to obtain a Florida license
