Overview of the Role:

As the Nurse Manager of the 34-bed Neuro ICU, you will assume 24/7 accountability and responsibility for leading a dedicated team in delivering exceptional, goal-directed nursing care. This crucial leadership role requires a strong background in neurocritical care to manage patient care, staffing, and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & Manage: Oversee a team of 86 FTEs, fostering a collaborative environment that supports evidence-based practices.
• Deliver Patient Care: Ensure the provision of individualized nursing care that aligns with the best practices in neurocritical care.
• Promote Staff Development: Encourage continuous learning and professional growth among the nursing staff.
• Budget Oversight: Manage the unit’s budget effectively, balancing financial health with the delivery of high-quality care.
• Drive Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • 5+ years of acute care RN experience in ICU settings.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in an ICU.
  • Texas State RN license or Compact license.
  • BLS/ACLS certification.
  • BSN required (MSN preferred).
• Preferred:
  • National Specialty Certification (or commitment to obtain within 1 year).
  • Trauma experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: $40.79 - $61.19 per hour, based on experience.
