Nuclear Safety Engineer III

This position can be hybrid remote. Will require trips to the site periodically for walk-downs and meetings.

Position Overview

Under direct supervision, Nuclear Safety Engineering job functions as assigned by management. Typical job responsibilities assist and support management in nuclear safety support of operations and engineering system design. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned

§ Assists with tracking and trending of Nuclear Safety performance

§ Assists with maintenance/supports Nuclear Safety operability or engineering evaluations

§ Assists with the preparation of problem disposition reports

§ Prepares Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) Screenings and Determinations

§ Performs reviews of Safety Basis documents

§ Assists in preparation of new and revised Safety Basis Documents

§ Performs basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress and preparation of procedures

§ Prepares documentation for communications and meetings

§ Identifies and evaluates project issues and problems

§ Provides assigned technical or functional support to team members

§ Performs a variety of tasks general/routine complexity in nature

§ Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner

§ Actively participates in Safety Work Groups
