Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU CWR
Location : Edison, NJ, 08818
Hours per Week : 36.00
Schedule : 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, Every Other Weekend Required, 1 holiday per season, No On-Call.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is responsible for evaluating neonatal patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The RN will develop and coordinate individualized care plans, perform therapeutic nursing interventions, and document care following standards of practice. This role is focused on providing patient-centric care aligned with evidence-based practices and the professional nursing model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care based on neonatal patient needs.
• Identify patient priorities through comprehensive assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans through ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of neonatal patients.
• Document patient care in accordance with standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for and implement evidence-based care practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centered care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Assist with stabilizing newborns in the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit when needed.
• Support the Mother/Baby (MB) unit or deliveries when the Special Care Nursery is closed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in a related specialty ( NICU ).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience stabilizing newborns in Labor & Delivery (L&D) is preferred.

Education:

• ASN - Required.
• BSN - Preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• BLS - AHA certification.
• NRP (AHA) certification.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or multi-state compact license .

Languages:

• English (Speak, Read, Write).

Schedule Notes:

• Must be available to work every other weekend and 1 holiday per season .
• No on-call requirements.
• Flexibility to assist with babies on the Mother/Baby unit or during deliveries when needed.
