Job Title: Network Engineer

Location : Falls Church, VA

Job Type: This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Compensation : $90,000-$110,000/ year

Job Description:

A growing organization is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support and maintain its IT infrastructure. This role involves managing network hardware, Windows servers, cloud platforms, and occasional end-user support. The ideal candidate is self-directed, technically strong, and comfortable working across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware and systems.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud tools (e.g., Azure, M365).
• Support Windows Server (2019+), Active Directory, and Azure Entra ID.
• Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and system documentation.
• Provide Tier 2–3 support and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in IT, with strong networking and Windows systems knowledge.
• Experience with Cisco firewalls, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
• Certifications (CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft) a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
