We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Self-Generating Mortgage Loan Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial professional who excels at building relationships and has a strong track record of generating their own leads and closing deals.
Position Overview:
As a Self-Generating Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing, originating, and managing the mortgage process for your clients. You will leverage your existing network and develop new relationships to drive business. This position requires a proactive, results-driven individual with deep knowledge of mortgage products and a passion for helping clients achieve their homeownership dreams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and other lead generation strategies. Cultivate and maintain a robust pipeline of clients.
Client Consultation: Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to assess their financial situation, understand their mortgage needs, and recommend appropriate loan products.
Loan Origination: Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Submit loan applications for underwriting and follow up to ensure timely processing.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals to encourage repeat and referral business.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on various mortgage products, interest rates, and industry regulations to provide clients with informed recommendations.
Compliance: Ensure all activities and processes adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
Sales Goals: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the company.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, with a proven track record of self-generating leads and closing deals.
Licensing: Must have an active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license in the state(s) you will be operating in.
Network: Strong existing network of real estate agents, financial advisors, and other potential referral sources.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong sales acumen and a customer-focused approach.
Technology: Proficiency in mortgage software, CRM systems, and other relevant tools.
Drive: Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
