Job Description
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Clinical Mental Health Assessors to join our team. As an Assessor, you will be the first point of contact for clients seeking support and will play a crucial role in guiding them through their mental health journey. This is a flexible remote position that allows you to choose time blocks that fit your schedule, with consistency week to week.
Each assessment takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes and is conducted via phone, with required documentation to be completed afterward.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessments with clients during your assigned time blocks
Assess the client's biopsychosocial condition (past and present) and provide a clinical diagnosis based on DSM-5 criteria when appropriate
Develop a treatment plan tailored to each client, to be implemented by a mentor or counselor
Clearly explain the services available to clients and help them understand how they can benefit from them
Secure client consent for treatment and participation in the program
Input all assessment details, diagnoses, and treatment plans into our electronic health record (EHR) system within 48 hours of completing the assessment
Stay up-to-date with DSM-5 diagnoses and clinical practices
Attend regular meetings, training, and supervision sessions
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
Demonstrate positivity, flexibility, and effective communication (both verbal and written)
Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner in all interactions
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnoses
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Reliable access to a computer and internet connection in a private, secure space (to meet HIPAA compliance)
High level of organization and attention to detail, with an ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience and cultural competence in working with diverse populations, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities
Strong computer skills, with experience maintaining client records
Independent or dependent licensure in Social Work or Counseling in the state of Ohio
Compensation:
$75 per completed assessment, including intake, diagnosis, treatment plan development, and EHR entry
