About the Role
As a Medical Director, you will play a critical role in enhancing patient outcomes by offering medical and procedural consultation while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. You will work closely with facility administrators, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to optimize care delivery, reduce hospitalizations, and implement clinical best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 8 hours per month of Medical Director services to skilled nursing facility residents.
Ensure full compliance with Title 42, Section 483.75(i) of the Code of Federal Regulations and applicable state regulations.
Offer 24/7 availability for emergency consultations as needed.
Attend Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings at least 10 times per year.
Assist in developing clinical pathways to enhance resident care.
Support the facility's marketing efforts when requested.
Collaborate with attending physicians to uphold the highest quality of care for residents and patients.
Who You Are
A licensed physician (MD/DO) with experience in geriatric care, post-acute, or skilled nursing settings.
Passionate about improving patient outcomes through proactive, technology-driven healthcare solutions.
Strong communicator and leader, able to advise facility administrators on best practices and areas for improvement.
Comfortable working independently in a contractor role while integrating seamlessly with facility teams.
