Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

Under supervision of the Supervising Investigator II (Commander) and the Staff Services Manager I, of the Investigative Analysis Unit (IAU), the Management Services Technician conducts system searches and research for investigative information and gathers less difficult audit trails using various automated systems; maintains and audits multiple internal electronic tracking systems; prepares and maintains case files (automated/manually); handles incoming and outgoing assignments; receives and screens workload for distribution as appropriate; prepares month-end expenditure reports: i.e., overtime, travel, mileage, Cal-Card, Copier, and assists with monthly statistical workload and time reports; maintains and prepares training documents and reference material and assists with developing training binders; prepares and modifies written memos/correspondence; assists with reviewing final Reports of Investigations and pulls data for trend analysis; assists the Special Operations Command with the incoming citizens’ complaint process and develops high level summary and/or related research; orders supplies using the State credit card (Cal-card); reconciles monthly purchases and submits to other divisional personnel; and performs other duties as needed.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
