Job Summary Granite Automotive is seeking an experienced and reliable Lot Attendant to join our team in Rapid City, South Dakota. The Lot Attendant will work full-time and is responsible for keeping the lot clean, orderly, and safe while providing exceptional customer service. Compensation & Benefits The successful candidate for the Lot Attendant position will receive a generous salary based on experience, as well as benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, supplemental AFLAC, 4101k with match, and paid time off. Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and dry all new and used vehicles regularly.
• Start each used vehicle weekly and advise the New/Used Vehicle Manager if a car will not start.
• Keep used cars properly displayed in a neat, attractive manner.
• Rotate all vehicle line positions to give an appearance of freshness to inventory.
• Deliver and pick up vehicles from the bullpen and get “lot ready”
• Remove vehicles sold from the line and replace them with new units.
• Advise New/Used Vehicle Managers of needed mechanical and/or other work.
• Detail and make ready for delivery according to vehicle delivery policies of all new vehicles sold by the sales department.
• Fill all newly sold vehicles with gas.
• Advise Sales Managers of any problems with the sold vehicle as soon as possible.
• Check-in vehicles off of transport.
• Put keys out in the am and pick up in the pm
• Clean Delivery Bay at the close of business.
• Clean Golf Carts monthly.
• Maintain dealership premises including but not limited to weeds, litter, cigarette butts, etc.
• Shovel all customer and employee areas and apply ice melt during snow season.
• Must wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow company safety policies and practices. Immediately report all accidents/vehicle damage to the Vehicle Manager.

Requirements

• General knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Manual dexterity.
• Good judgment.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Must be outgoing and able to give a good impression to the customer.
• Must be able to lift to 75 lbs.
