Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) - Full-Time

Qualifications Required

• Master’s degree or higher.
• At least 1 year of experience in Social Work.
• Any of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Michigan (MI).
  • Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) in Michigan (MI).
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan (MI).
• Any of the following valid credentials:
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in Michigan (MI).
  • Certified Mental Health Professional (CMHP).

Overview

As an Adult Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide clinical services to clients with mental health and substance abuse diagnoses. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, delivering therapy, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. This role is integral to our client's mission of nurturing development, fostering resilience, and cultivating well-being within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical services for adults and families.
• Assess and document client needs for mental health and/or substance abuse services.
• Provide individual and group therapy.
• Collaborate with other professionals and service providers.
• Maintain compliance with contractual and licensure requirements.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and case consultations.
• Complete clinical records and agency documentation in a timely manner.
• Follow professional code of ethics.
• Coordinate effective discharge planning.
• Complete required training in mental health and substance use disorders.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 7 pm, and Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm.
• Evening hours are required and will be determined based on program needs.

Travel

• Occasional local travel. Mileage reimbursement provided.

Internal Notes

• Pay is based on licensure and experience:
  • Full License: Hourly $27.78-$37.58 | Salary $54,171-$73,281.
  • Limited License: Hourly $25.65-$35.21 | Salary $50,017.50-$68,659.50.
• Candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure or obtain licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, or LLP) within a 60-day training period from the hire date.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional credential must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
  • A minimum of one year of experience (including fieldwork or internships) working with individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses.
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capacity to interpret and execute various instructions in written, oral, or scheduled forms.
