Job Description

Round Hill Search is seeking a Litigation Legal Secretary for a national firm in its growing Los Angeles office located in the heart of Century City. The Litigation Legal Secretary plays a crucial role in supporting four attorneys and/or paralegals in a highly collaborative work environment. This position requires a high degree of organizational skill, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of litigation legal assistant or secretarial experience with significant exposure to complex commercial, intellectual property, real estate, and/or labor and employment litigation in a mid to large-sized law firm.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings and travel
• Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and subpoenas. Ensure all documents are correctly filed with the court in a timely manner
• Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and court personnel. Handle routine client inquiries and facilitate effective communication throughout the litigation process
• Assist attorneys in conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases. Prepare and organize necessary documents and evidence for hearings, depositions, and trials
• Maintain accurate records of billable hours and assist in the preparation of client invoices. Manage expense reports and other financial documentation
• Assist in preparing trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks. Coordinate logistics for trial proceedings
• Organize and maintain case files, both electronic and physical. Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedure

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation legal assistant or secretarial experience with significant exposure to complex commercial, intellectual property, real estate, and/or labor and employment litigation in a mid to large-sized law firm

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, iManage, e-filing, styles, and brief formatting

• Experience with federal and state e-filing, trial preparation, Table of Contents, and Table of Authorities

• Excellent written and oral communication, proofreading, and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented, able to multitask and prioritize the workload independently, have great follow-up and follow-through skills

• Comfortable working in a high-volume, high-energy environment

Additional Information:

The position is on-site five days a week. Availability for some overtime is required as needed.

Salary:

The anticipated pay range is approximately $95k-$115k per year
