Landscape Crew Lead- Day Shift- Full Time.

Position Summary:

The Landscape Crew Lead supervises a team of landscape workers and coordinates other resources. The Crew Leader ensures that safety and risk management practices are followed in the performance of all work. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the typical landscape, horticulture practices, equipment, and the ability to lead others in the completion of work. Responsible for maintaining excellent customer service and communication skills with employees, clients, and management. Qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for training, monitoring, and cultivating all crew members.
• Delegate tasks and oversee the use of tools and equipment.
• Responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding a business or building.
• Mow the lawn with the use of a zero-turn mower.
• Cut lawn using hand, power, or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Water plants and grass as needed.
• Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using a backpack sprayer.
• Sweep walkway of debris.
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles.

Shift Hours: 

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
