JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the development and maintenance of banners, HTML emails, and web applications.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and business stakeholders.
- Participates in code reviews and testing to ensure compliance with development best practices and healthcare industry-specific standards.
- Makes copy edits and fixes in markup to digital projects.
- Articulates digital solutions to both senior technologists and non-digital audiences.
- Understands and applies standard software development methodologies.
- Explores and shares new technologies with the larger team.
- Applies knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service offerings to clients.
- Produces code that adheres to best practices for security, healthcare industry-specific standards (including HIPAA and HITECH), and other regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Presentation Layer: Demonstrates the ability to program showing a basic understanding of front-end technologies.
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6 and ES5).
- React, Vue, Angular, or similar frameworks.
- Sass, PostCSS, Styled Components, or similar.
- Gulp, Webpack, NodeJS, or similar build automation tools.
- Application Development: Basic understanding of back-end technologies to support website development. Familiar with basic database concepts.
- Digital Design Tools: Exposure to digital design tools (eg, Adobe XD, Sketch, Zeplin).
- Computer Hardware and Software: Must be proficient with all internet browsers and able to use both PC and Mac. Should be familiar with tablet devices (Android, iPad) and smartphones. Veeva experience a plus.
- Collaboration Tools: Knowledge of git version control basics.
- Basic knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Awareness of healthcare industry-specific standards and regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH.
- Writes basic and efficient code.
- Adds and modifies content in a CMS.
- Willingness and ability to learn and improve skills.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment.
- Contributes to small digital projects.
- Takes direction and works effectively with supervision.
- Communicates effectively with team members.
