Industrial Electrician

Location : Ft Lauderdale, FL

Compensation: $30-$45 per hour ($3,500 sign-on bonus)

Position Summary:

Join our clients vision of being the leading edge of sustainable waste solutions to power the future. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Electrician for our Ft. Lauderdale, FL location. Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment safely and professionally.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining facility equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/instrumentation equipment
• Initiate and complete work orders
• On-call 1 week out of every 5 weeks to respond to emergency repairs outside of normal business hours
• Proactively address improvement opportunities.
• Utilize basic and precision measuring tools effectively.
• Follow standard safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
• Operate various equipment including forklifts, manlifts, and loaders.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Electrical Field. Instrumentation experience not required.

Physical Demands:

• Stand, sit, walk, handle tools, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crawl.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Operate fire extinguishing equipment.
• Access confined spaces and pressure vessels.

PPE Required:

• Personal protective equipment including respirators, hardhat, safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, hearing protection, and safety harness may be required.
