Job Description

We're looking for a tax accountant to join our team, focusing on corporate income and payroll taxes. In this role, you'll help ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax regulations while also working to minimize tax burdens through innovative research and planning. You'll be responsible for managing, monitoring, and tracking tax compliance obligations for various jurisdictions.

What You Will Do

As a tax accountant, your responsibilities will include preparing income and payroll tax returns for international, federal, state, and local levels, as well as reviewing annual reports and assisting with interim and year-end provisions. You'll prepare account analyses, reconciliations, and help with calculations for estimates and apportionments. Your role will also involve providing documentation and support during audits, conducting tax research, assisting with credits and incentives, and collaborating with other departments on special projects.

This position offers ample opportunities to collaborate with various departments, including Corporate Tax, Corporate Accounting, Legal, and Real Estate. You'll work closely with these teams to gather the information necessary for income and payroll tax disclosures or to fulfill document requests from taxing jurisdictions.

Required Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or
- 2+ years of tax and/or accounting experience (public or private)
- A Master's in Accounting or Tax can substitute for experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- 1-3 years of experience in preparing corporate income and payroll tax returns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Experience with CorpTax is a plus
