Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented In-House Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a part-time remote role. As an In-House Accountant/Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of bills and invoices. You will also work closely with our finance team to analyze financial data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations for improving financial processes and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience in various accounting functions, experience with Quickbooks desktop using AR/AP, Reconciliations, and understanding Financial Statements.

Requirements

Duties

• Perform account analysis and reconciliation tasks
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
• Prepare financial reports and statements
• Conduct financial report writing and analysis
• Utilize Quickbooks desktop software for accounting purposes
• Demonstrate proficiency in technical accounting procedures
• Manage general ledger accounting processes
• Assist with payroll tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience working as an Accountant/Bookkeeper or in a similar role
• Certification with 5+ years of experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
• Experience with payroll processing
• Clear understanding of Tax Form filings needed throughout the year (forms such as 941, W2, 1099, etc.)
• Proficiency in Quickbooks desktop software and MS Excel
• Ability to perform account analysis and reconciliation tasks effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
