Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in San Jose, California. This is a long-term contract opportunity within the semi-conductors and electric components manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting HR operations, fostering positive employee experiences, and ensuring organizational efficiency. Responsibilities: - Manage payroll processes for approximately 40 employees to ensure accuracy and timeliness. - Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, from documentation to orientation. - Welcome visitors, vendors, and employees with an attentive and approachable demeanor. - Maintain visitor logs and direct individuals to their appropriate destinations. - Cultivate a positive and friendly atmosphere in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. - Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. - Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats to support HR processes. - Conduct audits and background checks to ensure compliance with company policies. - Assist with employee benefit functions, addressing inquiries and resolving issues. - Utilize HRMS systems, including ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian, to manage employee records and data. Requirements - Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and other HRMS platforms. - Experience with auditing procedures and conducting background checks. - Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset. - Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Familiarity with employee benefits administration and related processes. - Customer service skills that contribute to positive interactions and problem resolution. - Achievement-oriented attitude with the ability to maintain focus on details and accuracy.
