Job Description

Do you love helping children thrive and creating structure in a home? We’re seeking a full-time nanny and household manager with Montessori experience to guide our bright two-year-old and bring balance to our busy household. Weekend support is part of the role, and we offer paid time off, holidays, and the option to live in if desired .

After more than a decade of serving our community through real estate and helping families find their homes, our own family story began later in life. Now, with our son at the center of our lives, we’re looking for someone with patience, dedication, and a long-term commitment to support his development while helping us keep daily life running smoothly.

For the right person, this is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to become a trusted partner in our family’s journey .

Pay: $22–27/hr (based on experience)

Core Role & Responsibilities

Nanny Functions (Montessori Approach)

  • Child Independence: Set up child-accessible areas (low shelves, learning towers, child-sized tools) and encourage children to participate in daily routines.
  • Structured Play & Learning: Plan daily activities rooted in Montessori principles — practical life skills, sensorial activities, language, math, and outdoor exploration.
  • Observation & Guidance: Follow the child’s interests, introduce activities at the right developmental stage, and step back when possible to let independence grow.
  • Emotional Development: Use respectful, gentle discipline and foster empathy, consistency, and security in daily routines.

House Manager Functions

  • Household Systems: Oversee cleaning schedules, handle maintenance requests, and coordinate with vendors (plumbers, landscapers, etc.).
  • Calendar & Logistics: Manage family calendar, appointments, school schedules, extracurriculars, and travel prep.
  • Organization: Maintain order in closets, pantry, and play areas; create systems that are intuitive and easy for the family to follow.
  • Budget/Expenses: Track household expenses, run errands, and manage reimbursements.
  • Meals: Plan and prepare balanced meals/snacks, or coordinate with chefs/caterers.

Skills & Attributes We Value

  • Montessori training or certification (0–3 or 3–6 years) preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Calm, nurturing, and consistent personality
  • Clear communicator with both adults and children
  • Problem-solver who anticipates needs
  • Tech-comfortable (Google Calendar, grocery delivery apps, home automation tools)
  • Comfortable managing vendors and household staff when needed

We want someone who will feel like part of the family — reliable, proactive, and excited to create both an organized home and a nurturing Montessori environment. If this sounds like the right fit, we’d love to connect.
