Azle ISD is a growing 5A school district in the DFW Metroplex that deeply values the arts, and is seeking a passionate and visionary Head High School Choral Director to lead our talented students and shape the future of our choral program. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to make a significant impact and build a program with tremendous potential.
Responsibilities Will Include:
Directing and conducting high school choir ensembles of varying levels.
Developing and implementing a comprehensive and engaging choral curriculum.
Planning and executing concerts, performances, and participation in UIL and the All State process.
Recruiting and retaining students in the choral program.
Collaborating with middle school music educators to ensure program continuity.
Establishing and working closely with the choir booster club.
Managing the choral program budget effectively.
Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Communicating effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
Contributing to the overall growth and success of the Azle ISD fine arts program.

Organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong management skills.

Experienced in developing and working with booster organizations.
Knowledgeable about best practices in choral pedagogy and repertoire.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education.
Valid Texas teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
Successful experience directing choirs at the high school and/or middle school level.
