Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Naples, Florida is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Directs and participates in the maintenance of the golf course landscape areas and the golf courses including tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, cart paths and rough. Maintains playing conditions to the highest possible standards set forth by following the TwinEagles standard operating procedures manual.
Responsibilities:
• Oversees all course construction and maintenance.
• Develops and maintains drainage, irrigation and watering systems.
• Directs subordinate supervisors on tasks to be carried out to maintain golf courses in pristine playing condition.
• Inspects courses regularly to evaluate and recommend improvements.
• Coordinates applicable work with outside contractors.
• Ensures labor and costs remain within budgetary guidelines.
• Meets with Director of Golf Course Maintenance to discuss conditions of facilities, maintenance plans and scheduled events.
• Conducts weekly staff and safety meetings to ensure that safety standards are met.
• Attends turf conferences, equipment shows, workshops and other educational programs to keep current knowledge of technical and turf innovations and changes that could affect the department’s operations.
Other Functions:
• Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Golf Course Maintenance.
• Complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and ensures corrective action is completed in a timely manner.
• Ensures employees are properly trained on specific job, equipment and documents equipment training.
• Open line of communication with the Director of Golf Course Maintenance keeping them informed of any significant matters.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and/or one year (or more) related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Turf Management degree/or currently enrolled preferred.
Previous golf course maintenance experience required.
Compensation:
$95,000 – $100,000 per year.
