Senior Software Engineer, Capital Markets Commodities and Currency Trading Applications

100% Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Capital Markets team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting critical applications used for commodities and currency trading. You will work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable software solutions.

• Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, low-latency trading applications.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of trading systems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies, and recommend improvements to our systems and processes.
• Must-Have Skills: 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with distributed systems and multi-threaded programming.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Desirable Skills: 2+ years of experience with GoLang development.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS Cloud-based application development.
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with capital markets, commodities, or currency trading.
• Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
