Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Communications Senior Specialist to join our Ashland Specialty ingredients G.P. business out of our Wilmington, DE location working in a hybrid environment. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the award-winning communications function. This position will report to VP Corporate Affairs, Global Marketing, Brand and Business Communications.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Developing and distributing print and digital communications (e.g., digital campaigns, press releases, literature, web page content, internal newsletters, etc.,)
- Tradeshow planning and execution
- Writing as well as reviewing and editing documents drafted by subject matter experts to ensure they comply with brand voice and AP Style.
- Working knowledge of traditional and digital communications and automated sales-enabling campaigns including Pardot and salesforce.com
- We love new ideas and innovation - bring your strategic marketing communications, media relations and negotiating skills to the table
- Actively contribute to organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety
- Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others
- Travel Responsibilities- up to 20% travel may be required
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: - The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience managing marketing communications for a global Fortune 500 company, in the life sciences / pharma specialty chemicals sector. S/he also must be comfortable in a matrixed environment working in a support function and partnering with key stakeholders across the commercial business unit to maintain an in-depth understanding of functional processes and commercial products, services and brand strategy to build and implement impactful external communications.
- Strong writing, spelling and editing skills are necessary.
- Previous agency briefing and relationship management as well as strong budget forecasting and reconciliation skills is mandatory.
- Always demonstrates responsible and ethical behavior.
- The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, solving complex challenges and creating the new and different
