Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining cosmetics repairs and preventive maintenance in all the Peppermill hotel rooms and hallways.

Duties :

• Must have basic knowledge of painting, caulking carpentry, tile work and cover basing. Wallpaper abilities a plus.
• Must be able to understand directions.
• Must report to work on time and in proper uniform. A neat appearance and personnel hygiene shall be maintained throughout the shift.
• Must clean up after every job performed and return all tools and materials to proper storage areas.
• Keep in contact with the housekeeping department when entering and leaving the room for more than twenty minutes. Block and unblock as needed.
• Must be able to communicate with hotel guests and be always friendly and pleasant.
• Never knock or enter door with a do not enter sign. If the guest requested the service have hotel base call the room for permission to enter. If the guest is not present have base leave a message on phone.
• Never disturb room amenities or linen in any room. Do not use towels for rags.
• Must have ability to work in a drug free environment and pass chemical dependency test as required.
• Must use all safety equipment as required.
• Must be safety minded and respond to hazards immediately.

• Must be able to assist and gain knowledge from hotel technicians.
• Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
• Be organized, flexible and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Adhere to Peppermill policies and Engineering policies.
• Perform related duties as assigned by Facilities and Engineering Manager.
