  • Ensure all gateway activities are carried out in compliance with any company guidelines or governmental regulations.
  • Monitor Gateway specific SOP's and outlined processes to ensure they are followed
  • Close communication with Regional and Global OCFO, Gateways, GHAs and other internal as well as external stakeholders
  • Plan cargo and ensure Transit Times are met
  • Review, oversee and develop local work processes that allow subordinates to work within Gateway and regulatory requirements.
  • Escalate any unresolved issues or risks before they materially impact Maersk or clients.
  • Monitor KPI's to ensure quality is met as outlined in the contracts.
  • Keep necessary reports up to date and keep deadlines as required and outlined.
  • Assist and/or back-up with the other members of staff within the department.
  • Negotiate local Ad-Hoc pricing when required with air carriers and ground carriers to ensure max GP generation and optimal service levels.
  • Execute continuous improvement goals and targets (Carrier COB, NR enhancement etc) as measured using Key KPIs though Balanced scorecard.
  • Regularly review processes and approach to existing lines ofbusiness to enhance profitability by identifying opportunities for cost reductions, service enhancement, and margin improvement
  • Complete all training as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with team and stations to deliver a high level of service to our customers and maximum GP generation.
  • Conduct regular reviews with staff to appraise performance, productivity, and contributions to the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Required experience & skills:
    • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required
    • At least 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in the airfreight industry
    • Ability to work within a team and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
    • Ability to manage workload independently and with attention to
    • Deadlines.
    • Setting an example for others to follow regarding knowledge, expertise, work ethic, and reliability.
    • Microsoft Office Knowledge including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
