Job Description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Davidson, NC in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 9-year-old son. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday 2 days a week during normal business hours and 3 days a week 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm (Guaranteed 30 hours). It is important that the nanny is flexible to work full days when the child is home from school, including school holidays and summer break.

The best nanny for this family would be warm, playful, and engaging while providing academic support and active play for their son. The ideal nanny will assist with homework and ensure he stays physically active through activities like swimming and playing outside. The ideal nanny would be creative about making activities (including homework) fun. Responsibilities include preparing dinner, keeping him on task with homework, limiting screen time, and encouraging engagement. The nanny should plan outings when time allows, such as trips for ice cream or casual dinners, playdates, and other age-appropriate activities throughout the community. With nature trails and a creek nearby, outdoor exploration is encouraged. The nanny will be responsible for school pick-up and transportation to occupational therapy sessions. The family seeks a nanny who can foster his interests while keeping him active, engaged, and supportive of his daily routine.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the child

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

• Providing transportation to school and activities

• Encourage the child to eat regularly and promote healthy eating

• Providing homework assistance

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child’s laundry and changing child’s sheets weekly

• Child’s meal prep, including snacks and dinner

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing frequently used surfaces by the child

• Picking up after the nanny and child throughout the day

• Grocery pick up

• Running general errands

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• Must be able to swim as the family has a pool

• CPR and First Aid Certified within 30 days of start date

• The nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine/booster and the annual Flu vaccine, preferred

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is offered at $30 an hour, negotiable depending on a variety of factors (experience, schedule, flexibility, etc.)

• Continued pay while the family is away
