Job Description

Full Time live-out Nanny required for a Tribeca family with two children (two girls born 2021 and 2024) starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child-related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their eldest daughter in an active, engaging, and age-appropriate way. You will be working alongside the family's other nanny who mainly cares for the infant. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone proactive, energetic and self aware who is wanting to partner with the parents in a loving household. The ideal candidate is someone who loves staying busy, shows initiative in all tasks and truly loves kids! The parents are looking for a loving, caring nanny who can engage their eldest daughter in a fun and stimulating way. Flexibility is crucial to this position - occasional travel (international and domestic), occasional date nights, and occasional weekend support is ideal. French or Spanish speaking candidates preferred. 

Location: Tribeca, NY 

Start date: ASAP

Days/times: Guaranteed 40 hours/week: Monday to Friday; availability to flex as needed for earlier/later days + weekend care. General hours to land between 8am-7pm, with likely 1-2 shorter days. Older daughter is in school for half days (afternoons), Monday through Friday.

Children: Two Daughters (born 2021 and 2024) - caring mainly for the older daughter

Conditions: $25 - $35 per hour* plus monthly health care stipend, monthly metrocard and standard sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience and other considerations

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

• Work authorization is required for this role
• A minimum of 5-10 years experience as a nanny (NYC experience preferred)
• Recent experience working with toddlers
• A well-suited demeanor for working with infants, toddlers and school age children
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
• Proven tenure with multiple families including excellent references
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development would be an asset. 
• French or Spanish speaking candidates preferred. 
• Some flexibility is required but generally the schedule will be relayed in advance and consistent. 
• Ability to complete all child-related duties (including, but not limited to: child meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying nursery and play areas, child's laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc)
• A professional appearance
• A valid passport (or willingness to obtain)
