TEAM MEMBER - JOB DESCRIPTION ( FOH / BARISTA / PANINIS / GROCERIES )

Berkley’s Market Team Members exercise all those qualities and many more via day-to-day responsibility for Hospitality, Barista & Panini Service, Merchandising, Online Orders, and keeping the store Clean & Inviting. We’re now hiring for full-time employment at our Berkley’s Market - State Thomas store located at 2822 McKinney Ave in Dallas, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will vary based on experience, but all team members are responsible for:

HOSPITALITY - Greeting every guest with a smile & warm welcome, ensuring we’ve met their needs with knowledgeable warm customer service, and guaranteeing they’ve left delighted.

BARISTA SERVICE - Helping provide some of the best craft coffee service around with La Colombe beans, pressed and steamed via La Marzocco espresso machines.

PANINI SERVICE - Using our panini presses to make our hot sandwiches. Have you tried one? They’re delicious… and assembled fresh daily in our commissary kitchen with James Beard Nominated local bread.

MERCHANDISING - Stocking and beautifully displaying our Prepared Foods and Grocery Aisles.

ONLINE ORDERS - We’re here for our customers, however they like to shop. So you’ll be fulfilling orders In-Store & Online for pickup or delivery.

CLEAN & INVITING - Berkley’s prides itself in our clean, orderly, and polished stores, which you’ll help in maintaining.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVES - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Highly motivated self starter
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management & organizational skills
• Solid understanding of food & beverage programs
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
• Dependable attendance track record

PREFERRED - EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS

• 2+ years experience in high-paced grocery, coffee shop and/or restaurant/cafe
• TX Food Handler Certified (must be obtained within one week of hire)
• TABC Certified (must be obtained within two weeks of hire)
