Job Description

Cheeky Monkeys is an “edutainment” softplay area & kids birthday celebration destination from 10 months to 8 years old. It provides an unparalleled arena for daily, social and educational interactions focused on children and teachers and children and parents.

PLAY

Kids spend hours in our  INTERACTIVE SOFTPLAY, MONKEY CLUBHOUSE, BLOCKS STATION, ORGANIZED ACTIVITIES and ARTS & CRAFTS STATION. We provide a safe and stimulating environment for physically active children aged 8 and under to play and explore. Each location features a giant 3,000 square foot play structure for children over the age of 4, a smaller play area for toddlers under the age of 4, a building blocks zone, and life-size playhouse. All areas have soft indoor play park equipment with extensive padding and no sharp edges.

LEARN

Throughout the day, Cheeky Monkeys visitors can participate in free daily fun activities such as puppet shows, story time, dance classes, baby yoga, fairytale ballet, drama, literacy, and language. Children can create endlessly in a dedicated Arts and Crafts Garden where art teachers guide the children in artistic creations.

CELEBRATE

At Cheeky Monkeys we are the celebration experts, with over 5,000 birthday parties hosted! We offer multiple private party rooms that feature different themes and packages, we provide everything a child may want for their Birthday Celebration. Every event is hosted by trained staff and can include several hours of supervision fun – cake and ice cream, prizes, food and beverage, and party favors.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Responsible for the smooth operational running of all types of indoor and outdoor parties.
  • Provide customers with accurate information about our Party Packages.
  • Supervise the overall décor and theme of parties.
  • Deal with general customer service issues.
  • Help to develop manpower assignments for different staff members.
  • Prepares the events scheduler/ calendar for the year.
  • Creates and maintains a database to understand trends and develops new strategies for

events and promotion for the events.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Meet with potential clients and book onsite and offsite events.
  • Be available to conduct site visits and advise clients of what is available.
  • Create themes and specific party packages for customers.
  • Work closely with Hotels and offer our services for their celebrations and festivities.
  • Manage entire events from organizing timelines to execution.
  • Prepare quotes and mood boards for clients.
  • Work closely with the events team in the execution.
  • Managing Clients expectations.
  • Being available on-site for specific VIP events.
  • Ensures proper execution of the promotions/birthday parties through effective sales programs.
  • Executes sales strategies to achieve budgeted attendance and sales goals.
  • Follows up and manages stocks related to parties and events.
  • Provides timely reports to line managers regarding performance, sales, results, customer

feedback, and other related issues.

  • the workability and sufficiency of party items.
  • Safeguard Relieves the staff whenever there are no parties being held and does the job as assigned by Store Manager
  • Suggest ways to increase party sales and decrease party expenses/costs.
  • Ensures parties/events hosted are being done accordingly.
  • Party room arrangement is suitably and neatly prepared.
  • Gifts and game prizes are presentably arranged.
  • Customer specifications are met as per the booking agreement.
  • Payment for the party is received before the party ends.
  • All the party expenses are fully paid and the respective receipts are attached to the party/event income report upon completion of such.

  • Ensures attendance in accordance with the duty schedule.
  • Acts in line with Health, Safety & Fire procedures.
  • Adheres to the applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres and follows Standard Operation Procedure as set by Company.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Possess excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Tolerance and understanding for multi-cultures
  • Excellent customer service and follow up skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Be able to multi-task and work under time deadlines
  • Confident and authoritative with ability to deal with children, parents, and staff
  • Flexible attitude to working requirements to meet the needs of Cheeky Monkeys Playland
  • Operational experience working in front of house leisure or retail environment
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft office is

important.

GENERAL

  • Hours and Schedule of work – 9 hours including a break, shifting and changing according to daily needs on a Rota basis.
  • 6 days a week, 1 day weekday off.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour + tips

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
