If you're looking for a position to help evangelize and promote the Catholic faith, the Catholic Spirit Radio Network is hiring an Event Coordinator for its two major fundraisers. This position is part-time but can easily evolve into full-time, if desired. Co-coordinators and self-employed event managers may also apply. Responsibilities Summary: This part-time, high-energy position has responsibility for coordinating and managing the Catholic Spirit Radio Network's two major on-air fundraisers, Care-A-Thon (April) and Fall Appeal (October). This includes the preliminary planning stages, the event, and wrap up tasks. Direction and guidance will be provided, as needed, but initiative, extreme organization, and strong communication are key. In-person with flexibility. Hours vary according to time of year. Requirements:

• Understand and support the Catholic Spirit Radio Network mission and Magisterium of the Catholic faith
• Pull together hundreds of small tasks to eagerly create successful events
• Plan, schedule, facilitate, and run events from the planning stages through the follow-up tasks
• Availability and on-site presence during all hours of the event (4 days in April, 3 days Oct)
• Promote the events (with the assistance from office staff) by mail, radio spots, Facebook, and email
• Weave theme throughout the event
• Work with postcard designer for timely mailing of event notices
• Determine and distribute premiums, giveaways, and grand prize
• Secure matching/challenge donors for seed money
• Schedule and communicate with radio guests and studio radio hosts > Coordinate and direct committees, volunteers, and staff for their event roles
• Communication with GM and office staff
• Arrange meals and snacks
• Maintain record keeping, reports, and documentation when needed
