Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking skilled transcriptionists/editors for contract work to transcribe recorded audio and refine imperfect transcriptions using our proprietary internet-based software. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio files and editing them to ensure quality and precision. You will need to manage your tasks independently and ensure a quick turnaround on each project as required. This is a contract position where you will handle the work directly and not subcontract it.

Responsibilities:

• Transcribe recorded audio files into written text accurately.
  
• Edit and correct transcriptions to meet high-quality standards.
  
• Use proprietary software to perform transcription tasks.
  
• Ensure quick turnaround times for each assigned project.
  
• Follow instructions carefully and work independently.
  

Requirements

• Excellent written communication skills.
  
• Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  
• Proficient in internet research and using reference resources.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage projects.
  
• Must be at least 18 years old.
  
• Applicants should be interested in performing the work themselves and not subcontracting.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Previous transcription experience.
  
• Familiarity with transcription software or tools.
