We're looking for an Electrical Designer to help design buildings and specify equipment. The successful candidate will have a background in creating electrical schematics as well as computer-aided design and drafting skills. The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in Electrical Design and at least one year of experience designing and drafting schematics.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Utilize engineering calculations.
• Utilize basic engineering principle and practical design solutions.
• Prepare design drawings for client review, permitting and construction.
• Guided design of power distribution systems including, but not limited to service entrance equipment, generator, lighting, fire alarm and low-voltage system
• Assist in developing and reviewing custom designs.
• Computer-Aided Drafting & Quality Control
• Assist with project management to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Work with clients, managers and engineers to coordinate project designs.
• Attend job meeting & coordinate activities as required.
• Attend training as requested to further enhance your duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding initiative, a well-organized and strong sense of responsibility.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft office applications.
• Experience with REVIT is an advantage.

Education & Experience:

• Basic knowledge of electrical design concepts and techniques.
• One to five years of experience.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
